10 ways restaurant can improve their website


The article which retained my attention today is a text about the importance of the website for a restaurant. Nowadays customers like to look at the website sort of preparing theirselves and knowing where they are going. So it is very important for the restaurant's marketing to get a good website and easy to look at and find. The customer who do not find the phone number to book a restaurant in the website will forgotten to go there. Also it is important to find the menu easily. If the menu is difficult to access the customer will be bored.
In my opinion for a restaurant or a hotel if the website is nice or inventive and creative I will think that the restaurant is good because they make effort for the guest.

To my opinion add comments on restaurants, hotels, and other services is important because that permits you to be sure of where you go! But be carreful because sometimes a service could be good and sometimes could be bad... In fact go there and add your own opinion.

I agree with you. Restaurants definitely need to have a good website to show up a good image of the place, of the concept, of the team and of the menu. A lot of people look at Internet and look for website to get more information regarding the restaurant, the price, the ambiance and the menu before to go and have dinner there and obviously before to book a table !

But restaurants need also to communicate with their future customers and have to find a way to create a blog inside their website (for instance) to talk with them, answer to any questions and allowed customers to post reviews negative or positive ! It will definitely help each customer and will look more approachable.
But at the end, you will have to go to the restaurant and make your own opinion like Edouard said.

Good article, more analysis needed. MBA level...a resto site is good because they made an effort is just the beginning.

Indeed, so many restaurants do not have websites... And I can be very upset when I do not find even the address or the telephone number! It can help customers to make their final decision if they have to choose between two places!
